When everything around me is uncertain, Father, bring me back to the steady truth that You are always certain.

When the rug of my life threatens to be ripped, bring me back to the towering Rock of safety.

When I'm surrounded by people, yet feel oddly alone, remind my heart that You have never forgotten about me and You aren’t capable of abandonment. It’s not in Your nature, for I know You.

When I’m crying out to my Creator and lies whisper that You don’t hear, deliver my heart from such cunning deceit. Remind me to hush myself and wait on You with grace so I can attune myself to listen with more intensity.

When waves threaten the peace of my heart, bring me back to the Red Sea and the walls You’ve held in your hand. You have not and will not change.

When my heart is heavy with the weight of the world, call me deeper and saturate me with all consuming fire that simply doesn’t care about anything else.

When my hands shake and my very breath feels unsteady, and fear roars its ferocious roars, show my heart that I’m backed by heaven and my Father has my back.

When the cries in the secret place seem to go unheard and dare to sound foolish, let that ignite more passion and tenacity for consecration when complacency threatens to creep in.

When my children are unsure, let them see a mother who is rooted in a God Who is the same yesterday, today and forever, Who comes through and does not waver. Let them see prayer that yields results, faith that expects and produces, and a God Who delivers and makes good on His promises that have never and will never change.

When circumstances feel heavy and too much for me to bear, let me hit my knees and stay there at Your feet until the seasonal circumstances of life finally have to shift.

Father, I rest in you. You are everything I can’t be. I’m not enough, but You are, and You are in me.

You are my place of rest and where my hope and confidence lies.

All eyes on Jesus.
